Intro

Stacking is a tactic used where multiple players stand on the same spot to inside a group of monsters. There are a number of reasons this is popular:

  1. There is a experience bonus when more than one person attacks the same monster.
  2. There is a defense penalty when more than one monster attacks the same person.
  3. It's convenient (if a little repetitive).

Because monsters spread their attack out on multiple players, and players focus on one monster at a time, it is possible to level up very quickly with little risk.

Tips

  1. Hold ctrl+a (or whatever shortcuts you are using). No need to press them over and over again.
  2. When you run out of monsters, "herd" some more towards the stack, but beware - even when you return to the stack, all monsters are still aiming at you! You either need a high defense, or get far enough away so that the monsters re-aim for the stack.
  3. Listen to your own music if you're bored, but keep sound effects on so you can hear people level up. And then, congratulate them. =)
  4. Use stacks of about 5 or 6 people. Too few, and you will likely die. Too many, and it become inefficient.
  5. Loot that is not picked up by its owner becomes available to anyone after a while.
