That is a ''great'' idea.

I got an idea for a little running gag: What do you think about taking an animal that is very common in the real world, like a cat for example, but treat it in the mana world like an imaginary fantasy creature? I think it would be pretty funny to have a world in which basically everything can exist except for one very mundane thing whichs existence is clearly ruled out.

The cat is an imaginary creature which is frequently depicted in art and fairy tales. Cats are an invention of fantasy authors and not based on any real creature which exists or ever has existed in the mana world. Only children believe in its existence. People who claim that they've seen a cat are usually ridiculed. They are usually depicted as four-legged, agile, hairy animals which are usually cute and playful but can become very aggressive when mistreated. Depending on the author they either communicate with a noise depicted as "meow" or with understandable speech with very bad grammar.
