Christmas 2010 set grounds to Reid's Inn being brought into existence.

The Quest

During Xmas 2010, Golbenez broke time and space barriers to kidnap Santa! He needed a lot of material to build a place for leisure (which was later released as Reid's Inn), so he asked players for money - millions of GPs.

However, money was not the only way to free Santa - Yellow Present Box and White Present Box were being dropped by slimes, and Golbenez would buy them - 50kGP for the yellow box and 100kGP for the white box.

The amount of boxes he would accept, however, was limited, to 40 Yellow Boxes and 30 White Boxes. In total, he wanted 5,000,000 GP to release Santa, and all those boxes would yield this amount.

Additionally, Golbenez would notice if player came with boxes he did not collect from the slimes in the caves where Santa was kidnapped.

Finding Santa

After player paid the ransom to Golbenez and made their way in the cold maze, they would be able to rescue Santa.

Santa would then give player a random hat of this list:

If player was grateful for the hat, Santa would also give the player a Red Christmas Stocking - His favorite that he used for the past three months. (Player would also lose 20% HP and get dizzy from this unexpected prize)

Trivia

Present Boxes

The present boxes have a strong spiritual attachment which allows the creation of dimensional connections to the plane of existence. Their spiritual power is sorted as in:

White > Yellow > Green > Blue > Purple.

Golbenez, however, had no interest in the last three kinds.

Moubootaur Legends

Moubootaur Legends Christmas Event features a less-evil NPC which collects money based on Golbenez's scripts, but is very different in gameplay, lore and rewards.
