Legacy:Gemstone Powders are used in several quests. Although Legacy:Gemstones are valueable items, Legacy:Gemstone Powders aren't as expensive as those as you can make several powders out of one Legacy:Gemstone.
One of the main uses for Gemstone Powders is the dyeing of the Legacy:Hitchhiker's Towel.
