I'm interested in working on the server side of things. I'd like to help develop a modular server architecture which allows server administrators to choose a content and mechanics independently. Server modules would provide just one piece of functionality, such as combat mechanics, without tying that functionality to other features, such as a magic system.
RPGs have been a hot topic for decades and I want to reduce the amount of energy burnt arguing "perma-death versus experience penalty" so that that energy can be directed towards shared goals.
My background is in MUD server development and world scripting. I was involved in various stages of the ColdMUD server and FrozzenApples world development.
