Executive Summary

In the night of Halloween the barrier between the netherworld and the mana world is weakened. This makes it possible to summon powerful deamons that carry mighty artifacts. The idea is the following:

-The players meet some dark-robed guys everywhere in the world that tell them about the whole stuff. The players have to talk to them to find out what they have to do. -The players learn that they have to collect some artifacts to do the summoning ritual (I suggest them to be dropped by the skull monsters we used last year. These should be spread over the whole world). Then they have to bring them to the ritual place (I suggest one of the stone circles in woodland). -The NPC at the ritual place will only do the ritual once for each character and only for characters with a minimum level (to avoid abuse by doing the quest hundreds of times with new characters) -During the ritual the NPC will summon one of the pumpkin ghost monsters from last year. But in contrary to last year this years pumpkin monsters are aggressive, more powerful than any other monster we had before and drop a lot of nice rares.

Storyboard

NPC A - Dulas, Cult Recruiter (tulimshar): Explains that he is a recruiter of an occult sect and tries to persuades the player to join them. Redirects to NPC B.

NPC B - Melfar, Cult Member (snow village): Explains that they are going to do a ritual to gain powerful artifacts. Redirects to NPC C.

NPC C - Sarkor, Cult Leader (woodland village): Explains that they are going to summon a demon. NPC D is the priest who will do the ritual. Warns that it could become very dangerous. Redirects to NPC D.

NPC D - Torgas, Cult Priest (one of the stone circles in woodland): Tells the player to collect 5 MacGuffins (dark crystals?) from skull monsters. When the player returns with the 5 crystals it summons a pumpkin ghost.

The quest can not be repeated.

All NPCs redirect the player to NPC A when the player speaks to them too early.

Map changes: Add darkness effect to all desert and snow maps. Add fog effect to all woodland maps.

Mob changes: -Add one fire skull or poison skull monster on every map with monsters on it (players should have to search them). -Make the pumpkin ghost much stronger, agressive and almost as fast as the player (I suggest using the snake as a template and increase all attributes a bit and the speed a lot) and make it drop rare headgears with a high probability.
