Background Story

It appears that Agostine has a great project. He plans to carry out his master piece, a real artwork: a new dream dress. But his sewing skills are limited and he definitely needs help from a sewing artist. Hopefully, there is one in the Argaes, and you have already met her. The bad is that she is jealous of Agostine and despise him a bit. Will you be able to make them cooperate and forget their long time rivalry? The reward may be worth the try.

Walkthrough

You need to be level 60 to complete this quest. Once again he quest is rather easy to solve (only patience is required to grind the necessary items you have to gather). This spoiler is mainly here as reference.

What To Do:

  • From Nivalis' soul menhir, head nort-west to the upper part of the village. the first house you meet is Agostine's workshop. Enter and talk with him. If you are level 60, he will speak about the problems he has with a "wonderful fashion". Of course you tell him about Lora Tay in Dimond's. Though "he had almost forgotten about her" and that "she tried to put him out of business" he seems ready to collaborate with her. You will of course go and see Lora for him.
  • When you are with Lora, tell her that you have a proposal. When she knows it coes from Agostine, she will if course mutter against him a bit and wonder if you are joking. But you say you are serious. As she is curious she'll ask you to get more information.
  • Return to Agostine. He'll tell you that he saw the dress in a dream, and wonders how to make it. Rhen he gives you some fine materials to bring to Agostine.
  • Go back to Lora Telle her about the dream and give her the items. She is quite impressed by the quality of thes materials, but needs some more to fix Agostine's ones:
  • Give her the required 180 Silk Cocoons. But to be able to sew, Agostine needs to see the drawings and Agostine didn't give you even a copy of them; you have to travel again!
  • After your travel to Agostine, return to Lora and give her the drawings of the design. Now Lora needs some time and quietness to work. You must leave her and go outside Dimond's (Some fresh air will not harm you).
  • Return to Lora. The result us great, but she cannot finish since some design remains to be done.
  • It is time to finish the masterpiece. Once again in Nivalis, Agostine will finish the bottom edge with cotton work. but once again material misses.
  • Give 20 Cotton Cloths to Agostine so he can finish the work.
  • He proposes you now to be his ambassador, but you have to pay your contribution: 20.000 gp.

Hints

  • You can find silk worms in many areas, but the best one is definitely in the south-western part of East swamp (the one with no mist).
  • Grass snakes have a very high cotton cloth drop rate, as long as you are fast, strong and quick enough.

Silk Cocoon is dropped by:

  • Silk Worm (50%)
  • Butterfly (10%)

Cotton Cloth is dropped by:

  • Mouboo (5%)
  • Grass Snake (16%)

Rewards:

  • 1 Agostine's Dream Dress (Fine Dress) Defense +8, Magic Attack +3, 35g.

Total Cost:

  • 180 Silk Cocoons
  • 20 Book Pages
  • 20.000 Gp

Note:

Frictor is a leader of the Aethyra Project. The original item was released as "Valentine Dress" and in TMW as "Platyna Red Dress". Platyna who hosts this game since the beginning of the project, was the only player to wear it until this quest's release.
